Gilthead Sea Bream on a Bed of Potatoes and Onions
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel the potatoes and onions and slice them thinly. Finely chop the garlic. Put the potato and onion slices evenly in a baking tray. Sprinkle the chopped garlic over them. Season with salt and black pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and mix well. Rinse the gilthead sea bream thoroughly and pat dry. Season the inside with salt and black pepper. Slice the lemon and place the lemon slices inside and over the fish. Place the fish on top of the potato and onion bed. Transfer the baking tray to the preheated oven. Bake sea bream and vegetables for approximately 30–35 minutes. When the fish is cooked, the potatoes should also be tender. Serve hot. It makes a perfect meal when accompanied by a fresh salad.
