  • 2025

    Giresun Factory was Opened

    • In 2025, by taking a significant step in our production capacity, we commissioned our new Turkish salmon processing facility. With this investment, by increasing our annual salmon and trout processing capacity, we gained the opportunity to serve both domestic and international markets more efficiently.
  • 2024

    We Increased Our Production Capacity to 105 Thousand Tons

    • Production capacity reached 105 thousand tons.
    • In 2024, with a record-breaking achievement in exports, exports reached USD 340 million.
    • Agromey was acquired.
    • Marking a first in the sector, the first sustainability report was published.
  • 2023

    We Initiated Our Turkish Salmon Facility Investment in the Black Sea

    • Turkish Salmon production facilities were established in the Black Sea region.
    • In 2023, exports totaling USD 253 million were realized.
  • 2022

    Export Champion

    • With exports amounting to USD 282 million, Kılıç Seafood continues to maintain its leadership in Turkey’s aquaculture sector.
  • 2021

    Export Champion

    • Within the scope of the International Taste and Quality Institute, in addition to Kılıç Sea Bass and Sea Bream, our Salmon Trout won the “Superior Taste Award.”
    • We continue to maintain our sector leadership with USD 260 million in exports.
  • 2018

    Export Champion

    • Within the scope of the International Taste and Quality Institute, Kılıç Sea Bass and Gilthead Sea Bream won the “Superior Taste Award.”
    • Through the METROCHEF project, Kılıç Gilthead Sea Bream and Sea Bass were offered for sale in Metro markets with the atrium-style system.
    • The first shipment to the USA was made from the Dominican Republic facility.
    • Flounder was introduced to the market.
    • Kılıç Seafood became the export champion in the Aquaculture and Animal Products category organized by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, achieving exports of USD 175 million.

    • A facility was established in the Dominican Republic to enable faster shipments to the USA.

    We Achieved Another First in Türkiye.

    • Tuna farming has begun.
  • 2015

    Export Champion and 40,000 Tons Production

    • Harvest-size fish (sea bass, sea bream, meagre, trout) production capacity reached 40,000 tons.
    • An Advanced Processing Facility was established in Milas, initiating the production of value-added products and expanding the product range.
    • As the first company in its sector to achieve exports of USD 106 million, Kılıç Seafood obtained the status of Foreign Trade Capital Company.
    • Sales of canned products commenced.
  • 2014

    Export Champion

    • Kılıç Seafood ranked 315th on the list of Turkey’s Top 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO).
    • According to the Turkey Exporters Assembly’s nationwide Top 500 Exporter Companies report, Kılıç Seafood rose to 185th place with exports amounting to USD 84 million 78 thousand.
    • Kılıç Seafood became the export champion in the Aquaculture and Animal Products category organized by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations.
    • At the Export Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM), Kılıç Seafood became Turkey’s champion in the livestock sector based on 2012 export figures.
    • A fish meal and fish oil production factory commenced operations in Mauritania.
  • 2013

    Export Champion

    • Kılıç Seafood rose to 264th position on the list of Turkey’s Top 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO).
    • According to the Turkey Exporters Assembly’s nationwide Top 500 Exporter Companies report, Kılıç Seafood rose to 205th place with exports amounting to USD 65 million 302 thousand 431.
    • At the Export Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM), Kılıç Seafood became Turkey’s champion in the livestock sector with exports totaling USD 74 million, based on 2011 export figures.
    • Kılıç 1, the world’s largest juvenile gilthead sea bream-sea bass transport capacity vessel, joined the juvenile transport fleet.
    • Sales of MAP products commenced.
    • A trout production facility was established in Albania.
  • 2012

    Export Champion and one of the Top 100 Most Valuable Brands

    • Kılıç Seafood Feed Factory obtained Global G.A.P certification.
    • KLC Food Products Inc. ranked 287th nationwide among the highest exporting companies in Turkey.
    • KLC Food Products Inc. was awarded Export Champion in 2010 by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations within the Aquaculture and Animal Products Exporters’ Association.
    • Kılıç Seafood Inc. rose to 271st place on the ISO 500 list.
    • Kılıç Seafood took its place among “Turkey’s Top 100 Most Valuable Brands.”
  • 2010

    Export Champion

    • Kılıç Seafood ranked 301st on the Fortune 500 list.
    • Smoked trout production and sales commenced.
    • Kahramanmaraş Trout Packaging and Processing Facility obtained ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRC, and IFS certifications, reaching an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons.
    • The entire trout operation chain, including hatchery, grow-out facilities, and packaging-processing facilities, obtained GLOBAL G.A.P certification.
  • 2009

    New Markets

    • Kılıç Seafood ranked 473rd in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry ISO 500 list.
    • Production commenced at Kayseri Bahçecik Dam.
    • The first turbot production was introduced to the market.
    • Milas Packaging and Processing Facility qualified for the BRC certification for fresh and frozen products.
    • Trout export began.
  • 2008

    20.000 Tons Production Capacity

    • Harvest-size fish production capacity reached 20,000 tons.
    • Akarca Juvenile Fish Production Facility commenced production.
    • Kahramanmaraş Trout Packaging and Processing Facility commenced operations.
    • Gençler Aquaculture Industry and Trade Import Export Ltd. was acquired.
    • Özmandalinci Aquaculture Production Trade Import Export Ltd. was acquired.
    • Başak Fisheries Production Industry and Trade Import Export Ltd. was acquired.
    • Production commenced at Kahramanmaraş Sır Dam.
  • 2007

    Kılıç Holding was Established

    • Orfoz Seafood was acquired.
    • The former Pellet Feed Factory was converted into an Extruder Feed Factory, increasing the number of feed factories to two.
    • Trout Hatchery and Rearing Facilities in Kahramanmaraş commenced operations.
    • Harvest-size fish production capacity reached 16.000 tons.
    • Antalya Regional Directorate commenced operations.
    • Investment in Akarca Hatchery and Adaptation Facility was initiated.
    • The Pul-Rak gilthead sea bream-sea bass project was acquired by Kılıç Seafood.
    • 2 ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificates were obtained for Güney Ege and Bafa (Tekeburnu Facility) operations.
    • Instead of the HACCP certificate, an internationally recognized and much more comprehensive ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System Certificate, including quality management systems, was obtained for Kılıç Seafood Inc. Feed Factory and Packaging-Processing Facility.
  • 2006

    10 Million Juvenile Fish Per Year

    • Kılıç Seafood Production Export Import Trade Inc. Güvercinlik R&D Hatchery commenced operations with a capacity of 10 million units per year.
    • The second fish market was opened in İzmir - Bostanlı.
    • Ankara Regional Directorate commenced operations.
    • By increasing farm production capacity at Güney Ege Aquaculture, production was expanded to include red sea bream, sand steenbras, shi drum, sharpsnout seabream, golden croaker and dentex in addition to giltedhead sea bream and sea bass in addition to sea bream and sea bass.
    • Investment projects were carried out in construction, tourism, agriculture, and livestock sectors.
  • 2005

    Ören Hatchery

    • Offshore 2 Facilities were established.
    • Kılıç Extruder Feed Factory was established.
    • Güvercinlik Hatchery was leased for 20 years.
    • The first fish market was opened in Milas Kemikler.
    • Istanbul Regional Directorate was established.
    • Güney Ege Aquaculture was acquired.
    • ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and HACCP 130001 Food Safety Management Certificates based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points were obtained in the name of Kılıç Seafood Inc. Packaging and Processing Facility, Bafa Juvenile Production Inc., and Kılıç Seafood Ören Hatchery.
    • A total of 5 ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificates were obtained in the name of Kılıç Seafood, Kılıç Erşen, Birlik, Barka, and Balıkiler companies.
  • 2004

    We Outgrew Our Space

    • Kılıç Erşen Offshore Facilities were established.
    • Kılıç EPS Packaging Factory was established.
    • Bafa Hatchery Facility was established.
    • The project belonging to Birlik Aquaculture located in the Göltürkbükü Kesire area was relocated to Salih Island.
    • ISO 9001 Quality Management System and HACCP 130001 Food Safety Management Certificate based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points were obtained in the name of Kılıç Seafood Inc. Feed Factory.
  • 2003

    We Established & Renewed & Transformed

    • Kılıç Pellet Feed Factory was established.
    • The second packaging facility was established and the processing facility was renovated.
    • Spador SRL, our marketing company distributing to Europe, was established in the city of Rimini, Italy.

    • The first feed factory facility was established in Milas.

    • Barka Aquaculture Ltd. was acquired.
