Kılıç Seafood Received the 2020 Aegean Exporters’ Associations Championship Award

In 2020, despite the pandemic, the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB), as it does every year, awarded 58 of its members which generated 13 billion USD in foreign currency for Türkiye and made major contributions to exports under the title of “Export Champions.”

Despite the pandemic, Kılıç Seafood succeeded in becoming Türkiye’s Export Champion in the Seafood and Animal Products sector once again in 2020, as in every year, with an export figure of 196 million USD.

The “Stars of Export Award Ceremony,” organized annually by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and previously postponed due to the pandemic, was held last evening at Kaya Thermal Convention Hotel. At the ceremony, attended by the entire sector, KLC Food Inc., affiliated with Kılıç Seafood, once again maintained its clear leadership in the sector and was entitled to receive the “Star of Export” award.

KLC Food, which has not ceded its position as Türkiye’s export champion in the Seafood and Animal Products sector, became the sector leader last night with an export figure of 196 million USD and succeeded in maintaining both its peak position and leadership this year as well.

At the 2020 “Stars of Export” award ceremony, the sector first-place award was presented to Kılıç Seafood Deputy Chairman of the Board Mr. Ersin Kılıç Kızıltan by Turkish Exporters Assembly Chairman Mr. İsmail Gülle.

Stating that KLC Food’s sustainable production model is the most important value behind this success, Kılıç Seafood Deputy Chairman of the Board Mr. Ersin Kılıç Kızıltan said: “Despite the effects of the pandemic, we achieved great success with an export figure of 196 million USD in 2020. This period, in particular, once again showed us the value of domestic production. We see our fully integrated structure and our employees’ commitment to us as the most important factors that make our production model sustainable. In this way, we continue to contribute foreign currency earnings to our country by delivering the fish we produce to tables all over the world. We are experiencing the rightful pride of being the export champion once again this year with the exports we achieved in the Seafood and Animal Products category.
